Understanding and Enumerating our Efforts to Prevent and End Youth Homelessness
A Way Home’s Youth Homelessness Community Planning Webinar Series will provide guidance on the fundamentals for strong community planning practice over the 2017 year.
For Webinar 4, join Dr. Alina Turner (Turner Strategies) and Jesse Donaldson (Canadian Observatory on Homelessness) who will provide an introduction to the four research pillars of the Youth Homelessness Data Dashboard with a deeper dive into:
1. UNDERSTANDING: Research on the causes, conditions, and responses to youth homelessness
2. ENUMERATION: Assessing the scale and the scope of the problem, Homeless Point-in-Time Counts, By-Name-Lists and More!
Developed with generous support from the Government of Ontario and in partnership with the Ontario Municipal Social Services Association, (OMSSA) and the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness (COH).
A Way Home is a new national coalition dedicated to supporting communities and governments to prevent, reduce and end youth homelessness in Canada. The Coalition grew out of years of demonstrated success in collaboration among the national organizations in the sector.
A Way Home is dedicated to inspiring and facilitating change through promoting effective strategies that shift the focus from an emergency response, to promoting prevention (stopping young people from becoming homeless in the first place) and helping those who do become homeless move into housing with supports as rapidly as possible, in a safe and planned way.
