Integrated Employment Services Program

The Integrated Employment Services (IES) Program at Margaret’s Housing and Community Support Services is a specialized employment program dedicated exclusively to supporting individuals living with disabilities.

Our IES program provides holistic, client-centred employment support, helping individuals prepare for, secure, and maintain meaningful employment. We focus not only on job placement, but also on long-term career success and workplace inclusion.

What We Offer

 

At Margaret’s, we believe that meaningful work can be a powerful pathway to stability, confidence, and independence. Our Integrated Employment Services are designed to support our clients every step of the way — meeting participants where they are and helping them move forward at their own pace.
Our program supports participants through all stages of employment:
 
1. Employment Preparation & Skill Building
  • Resume and cover letter development
  • Interview preparation and job search strategies
  • Career exploration and goal setting
  • Workplace communication and soft skills development
 
2. Job Development & Placement
  • Support with job applications and interviews
  • Access to employer connections and job opportunities
 
3. Job Retention & Ongoing Support (Supported for 1 year)
  • One-on-one coaching after employment
  • Workplace accommodation planning
  • Access to free transit, clothing, or essential work supplies when needed
  • Ongoing check-ins to ensure job success
  • Support navigating workplace challenges and career growth

Program Eligibility

Margaret’s IES program is specifically designed for persons with disabilities. To qualify, participants must:

  • Identify as a person living with a disability (physical, mental health, developmental, or other)
  • Be legally eligible to work in Canada (including an open work permit, if applicable)
  • Be of legal working age
  • A resident of Ontario
  • Be actively seeking employment or looking to return to the workforce
  • Be willing to engage in employment-related activities and supports
